Terroir : The soil supports the root structure of the vine and influences the drainage levels and amount of minerals and nutrients that the vine is exposed to. The subsoil is composed of disintegrated mica schist stone which offers a high-quality terroir.Age of vines : 40 years.

Winemaking : An attractive and buttery white wine, this Vin de France is produced to fealure the fruit characteristics from our vineyard. Pressed into an underground tank (typical from nantais vineyard) for fermentation. Primary fermentation (sugar to alcohol) about 2-3 weeks with a secondary fermentation “malo-lactic” in which tart-tasting malic acid, naturally present in grape must, is converted to softer-tasting lactic acid in order to maintain the crispness in the wine. The wine is aged on lees for 9 months before bottling.





Tasting notes : The wine features aromas of toffee. The grape variety Melon de Bourgogne, is planted on a schist terroir which gives a very fresh and fruity nose.

Food Matching : L’Etang deserves to be drunk with gastronomic cuisine, fish with sauce, white meat, pasta. Nice with soft cheese and mushrooms. Served chilled at 10°-12°C.

Ageing potential : 5-8 years.
